Cold snap sees natural gas prices rocket so high in US that Japan could re-export LNG

Natural gas prices at one Northeast US prompt delivery point at New York rose to over $49 per million British thermal units this week, much more than double the LNG delivered cargo price for Japan, while pipeline gas for the city of Boston was over $41 per MMBtu.
