The LNG carrier, the "Ob River", successfully completed the first commercial navigation of a loaded LNG vessel of the Northern Sea Route through Arctic waters, and then made its way to the Japanese import terminal of Tobata as part of an experiment to show cargoes from planned Russian LNG projects can be delivered west to east in the North.
