THIS WEEK: Australia lights the flame of LNG possibilities from shale feed-gas

The Cooper Basin in Eastern Australia is a world-scale shale and unconventional natural gas area with estimated reserves of 200 trillion cubic feet, enough to feed four large LNG projects for 25 years. The first Australian commercial shale-gas production (pictured) has now begun.
