Canada blocks $5Bln takeover by Petronas of shale-gas company for LNG project

The Canadian government has blocked a $5 billion bid by Petronas to acquire Progress Energy Resources as part of the Malaysian company's plan to develop an LNG export plant near Prince Rupert port on Pacific coast of British Columbia.
