Shell may attempt to trump Thai PTT bid for Cove Energy and Mozambique LNG stake

Royal Dutch Shell may make an improved offer for Cove Energy next week to try and snatch Cove's stake in a growing Mozambique LNG feed-gas resource from PTT of Thailand, with the shares on Friday hitting 2.65 pounds per share, higher than the 2.40 pounds per share PTT offer Cove has recommended to its shareholders.
