Japanese group to secure Wheatstone LNG project stake set aside for bailed-out Tepco

A group of Japanese companies and banks, including trading house and LNG player Mitsubishi Corp., are in talks to pay more than $4 billion for a stake in the Chevron-led Wheatstone LNG project feed-gas fields that Tokyo Electric Power Co. had agreed to buy before it had to be taken over by the government.
