Japanese LNG buyers seek more contract extensions as Kyushu seals Australia deal

Kyushu Electric Power Co., Japan's fourth-largest utility, signaled the nation's determination to pursue long-term LNG volumes by securing the extension of a supply contract with the Australian North West Shelf liquefaction plant due to run out in 2017.
