THIS WEEK: LNG price gap between US and Asian markets becomes a chasm

Just when you think the differential between the LNG price base in the US and the price in Japan can't get any wider - the gap is becoming a chasm. The US Henry Hub spot price has now tested the $1.85 per million British thermal units mark, and the front-month is at just over $2.00 per MMBtu, compared with $15.50 per MMBtu in East Asia.
