Marathon says EG LNG on track as net profits slide

Marathon Oil Corp, the US energy company developing the Equatorial Guinea LNG project to ship offtake from West Africa to Lake Charles, Louisiana, said first-quarter 2007 net income was $717 million, slightly down on the $784M posted in the same three months of 2006.
