Statoil sets FID date for expansion of only European LNG export plant

Norwegian energy company Statoil said it would take a final investment decision next year on expansion of the Hammerfest LNG plant fed by the Snohvit gas field in the Barents Sea, as more natural gas can be produced from the reservoirs than was previously assumed.
