US shale enabling LNG exports will see $48Bln in annual spending

Shale gas resources in the US enabling future LNG exports will be supporting 870,000 jobs in the country by 2015 when annual capital expenditure on the US natural gas "shale gale" will be over $48 billion, according to a new study.

The study, produced by US energy consultants IHS and entitled "The Economic and Employment Contributions of Shale Gas in the United States," highlights long-term economic impacts, including the benefits of LNG exports.
