Bechtel, which is working on three Australian LNG projects, said it would hire 400 people in Australia and give them formal training in key construction skills to help overcome a shortage of tradesmen.
The US company said it would hire the "adult apprentices" for work on construction of the three LNG plants in Gladstone - Queensland Curtis LNG, GLNG, and Australia Pacific LNG.
