Cheniere signs $3.9Bln LNG EPC deal with Bechtel

Cheniere Energy signed a $3.9-billion contract with San Francisco-based Bechtel to build the liquefaction facilities at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana, opening the way for substantial exports of US surplus natural gas.

Cheniere is planning to construct LNG Trains capable of producing 9 million tonnes per annum in the first phase of its project, and selling 7 MTPA of the production under long-term sales and purchase agreements.
