QGC, the development company for the UK's BG Group for the Queensland Curtis LNG Project, has awarded a contract to Australian company Transfield Services for coal-seam gas field work in the Surat Basin of Queensland.

The contract is worth for $19.5 million and will last for five years, QGC said.
