The US Senate hearing on LNG export projects heard testimony that overwhelmingly supported the development of ventures to sell surplus US natural gas supplies overseas, and the likely future impact on domestic prices was seen as marginal.

The Senate Committee on Energy and Resources, comprising 10 Republican senators and 12 Democrats, heard a variety of testimony from members of the government regulatory authority, the Department of Energy, and various others, including an executive from Royal Dutch Shell.
