LNG supplies and natural gas-fired power are key to Europe’s energy future, and around $90 billion per annum will have to be spent on infrastructure if the European Union is to meet its stated energy goals, according to one of the world’s leading energy think-tanks.

IHS Cera, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, said in its report entitled “Sound Energy Policy for Europe” that natural gas-fired power can provide Europe with a reliable power generation platform.
