Kuwait LNG demand soars this year to 47 cargoes

Kuwait said it was extending the LNG import season for its dock-side regasification facility at Mina Al-Ahmadi, and was expecting to have imported as many as 47 LNG cargoes during 2011 when its seasonal purchases end in November.

Jamal Al-Loughani, Senior Marketing Executive at Kuwait Petroleum Corp., said the Gulf state had seen its domestic natural gas demand rise.
