Enagás takes stake in two LNG terminals in Canaries

Enagás, the leading Spanish natural gas network company and biggest owner of LNG terminals, said it bought a 42 percent stake in a company developing two LNG import terminals in the Canary Islands.

The Enagás stake in Gas Carrier Company Canarias SA (Gascan) means Spanish utility Endesa, which is now owned by Italy’s Enel Group, is left with 47 percent of Gascan and the regional government of the Canary Islands holds 11 percent.
