Kyushu of Japan signs for Wheatstone LNG cargoes

Chevron Corp. said it signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Kyushu Electric Power Co. for the delivery of LNG cargoes from the Wheatstone project in Western Australia.

Under the binding agreement, Chevron, together with its Wheatstone partners Apache Corp. of the US and Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co., will deliver up to 800,000 tonnes per annum of LNG to Kyushu for up to 20 years, including its equity share.
