LNG cargo surge for Japan helps lift power curbs

 The surge in LNG cargoes sent to Japan from March 2011 through the start of September has helped the nation boost its gas-fired power capacity and allowed the government to bring an early end to power rationing.

The government ended electricity usage limits at 8 pm local time on September 9, two weeks earlier than was first planned.
