LNG spot prices to soar after Japan earthquake

South Korea said it would supply LNG to Japan in the form of re-directed cargoes to be replaced at a later date because of nuclear power shortages caused by the earthquake, and Japanese utilities were also expected to bid for spot LNG cargoes worldwide, pushing up global prices.
