US says Alaska gas could cut LNG needs in long term

The latest US Energy Department’s long-term forecast on LNG imports sees deliveries peaking at 1.5 trillion cubic feet in 2018 before declining to 0.8 Tcf in 2030, despite projected US regasification capacity of 5.2 Tcf.
