Australian energy company, Origin Energy has reported that its Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) revenue for the first quarter of this year was 5% lower than the previous year’s figure, at A$2.427 bill.

Electricity sales volumes for the quarter increased 1%, compared to 1Q24.

Gas volumes increased by 13%, largely driven by higher business volumes on higher trading sales, partly offset by lower gas to generation, due to the Pelican Point contract roll-off and lower demand for gas generation.

Origin said it had received a fully franked dividend of A$185 mill in March, 2025 from APLNG, taking full year distributions to A$797 mill fully franked.

However, the company said that it did not expect to receive further APLNG cash distributions in fiscal year 2025 and expects all fiscal year 2026 dividends to be fully franked.

This supersedes the previous guidance that the second-half of fiscal year 2025 dividends would be less than 50% franked.
