Trinidad and Tobago has signed a production sharing agreement with a unit of UK energy major bp for exploring and producing natural gas at a shallow water block, the government’s energy ministry said.
The agreement follows an offshore bidding round launched by Trinidad last year, which is expected to encourage an increase in gas output to feed LNG facilities in the country.
