Although very early days, analysts have been studying the likely scenario for the energy sector when Donald Trump is sworn in as the US’ 47th President next January.
Rob Thummel, senior portfolio manager at Tortoise Capital Advisors, said that the US is currently the world's largest producer of oil and natural gas.
“We expect the US will retain its role as US oil production grows around 300,000 to 500,000 barrels per day, while natural gas production could grow by almost 30 bill cu ft per day by 2030, driven by LNG exports and AI demand that requires natural gas to provide the fuel to generate electricity.
