Japan looks for co-operative LNG deals

Japan has agreed to look at co-operating with South Korea and Italy on LNG procurement, it was also revealed at the Hiroshima conference last Sunday.

JERA, Japan's biggest utility company, and South Korea's Korea Gas Corp (KOGAS), also a major LNG buyer, are jointly investigating procurements, cargo swaps and other forms of co-operation, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) said in a statement.
