‘Francine’ threatens US Gulf LNG plants

Storm ‘Francine’ strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane on Tuesday night, the US National Hurricane Centre warned, threatening the US Gulf oil and gas production facilities.

‘Francine’ could hit the Louisiana coastline today with life-threatening winds, drenching rains and an up to a 3 m storm surge, the authorities said.
