Orders for LNG carriers and LNG-powered vessels keep piling up in South Korea after EU merger veto

Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Co. (KSOE) the world's biggest shipbuilder by order backlog, has secured deals to build five vessels, including LNG-powered containerships, a week after the European Commission vetoed the nation’s huge shipbuilding merger between Hyundai and Daewoo.
