The National Court of Papua New Guinea has approved the final stages of a takeover process to combine PNG-based and Australia-listed energy company Oil Search with Australian LNG operator Santos in a deal worth A$8.40 billion (US$6.25 billion) and creating a major Asia-Pacific energy player.
