While the US federal government is taking the dictatorial route to energy and shale reductions, European producing nations such as the United Kingdom and Norway have secured agreements between government, the industry and labour unions on a smooth transition to cleaner fuel with pipeline natural gas at the heart of policy backed by LNG imports in the case of the UK.
