Italian energy company and major LNG sector participant Eni will have $4Bln of write-downs in earnings

Eni, the Italian energy company with widespread LNG interests, said it would write off around €3.5 billion euros ($4Bln) from the value of its assets after revising down its long-term outlook for oil and gas prices.
