Shell-led LNG Canada, the first large-scale export project from British Columbia, is about to start introducing feedgas into its Kitimat liquefaction facility, having taken delivery of a shipment of refrigerants. Start-up activities are underway with a view to bringing the first two Trains into operation by early to mid-2025, while the rival Woodfibre LNG project in Squamish aims a September 2027 start-up.
