Maximum electricity demand in China may soar by 140 gigawatts (GW) or 12,1% from last year’s peak as energy use rebounded in the second half of this year, the National Energy Administration (NEA) said. China’s electricity demand already increased by 9.9% in September from a year earlier to 781,000 GWh as the country’s economic recovery gathered speed.
