Santos has been jolted by a setback as Abu-Dhabi’s state-backed XRG walked away from $30 billion tie-up. The breakdown shatters Santos’ expectations to secure capital for expansion projects in Australia and Papua New Guinea.

AG&P has intensified talks with private developers of LNG facilities that can deliver 5 to 20 MW of decentralised power. “The rule-of-thumb for LNG is $1 million/MW for small-scale projects,” president Albert D. Altura said commented.
