Australian LNG exporters be required to reserve 20% of their gas production for the east coast domestic market under a new policy, effective July 1, 2027. The measure targets three LNG projects – Shell/Arrow Energy's Queensland Curtis LNG, Santos’ Gladstone LNG, and Origin/ConocoPhillips' Australia Pacific LNG.

The Group of Seven (G-7) is today discussing a joint release of oil from emergency reserves, coordinated by the International Energy Agency (IEA). The move comes as oil prices skyrocketed more than 25 percent today (March 9) amid fears of a prolonged halt in shipping through the Strait of Homuz, which could cause severe oil and LNG shortages and disrupt supply chains in Europe and Asia.

Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET) has allocated all regasification slots offered between 2 January and 26 May 2026 at its Brunsbüttel terminal. A total of 16 slots, each with a size of 3.6 million Btu, were sold at auction at a clearing price of €0.66 per Btu.
