Saudi Armaco, the world’s largest oil producer, is reportedly preparing to divest up to five plants that currently power its refineries. The sale could generate around $4 billion and is part of the Government’s strategy to streamline Aramco’s operations, cut costs and diversify assets.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said it would not oppose the proposed acquisition of Refinitiv Parent Limited (Refinitiv), the analytics and data firm covering financial and energy markets, by the London Stock Exchange Group in a £24 billion (US$31Bln) deal.
Spanish energy company Repsol, a maritime fuel sector participant with plans to re-fuel Spain-UK ferries with LNG, said the International Maritime Organization sulfur curbs had led to it selling around 150,000 metric tons of low-sulfur fuel at Spanish ports and nearly 1 million tons in Singapore.
