Cheniere Energy has signed a contract with Bechtel, valued at $4.69 billion, for engineering, procurement and construction of the first phase of its Sabine Pass LNG expansion, a project centred on Train 7 with more than 6 mtpa liquefaction capacity.
US federal regulators have granted NextDecade another three years to complete the first five trains at its Rio Grande LNG export project, extending the in-service-deadline to November 2031. NextDecade subsequently filed an application for train 6.
Glenfarne Group has signed a preliminary 30-year gas supply pact with ConocoPhillips, securing sufficient volumes for Phase 1 financial close on the Alaska LNG project.
Australian engineering firm Worley has published an update on its reimbursable EPC contract, worth $9 billion, with Venture Global for phase 1 of the CP2 LNG project in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. First LNG is targeted in Q3-2027.
