Saga LNG service starts

April 24 (LNGJ) - Saga LNG Shipping, the company developing a medium-sized delivery business in Asia, has lifted its first full cargo from the Jurong terminal in Singapore with the 45,000 cubic metres capacity “Saga Dawn.

   “As ‘Saga Dawn’ departs on her maiden voyage, we would like to take a moment to thank Singapore LNG, our business partners, and all the parties involved for their hard work and excellent support in making this first loading a success, ” said David Wu, Chief Executive of Saga LNG.

   The “Saga Dawn” is the world’s first LNG carrier featuring an IMO type-A LNG containment system, based on LNT Marine’s patented design. The vessel was classed by the American Bureau of Shipping and built at China Merchants Heavy Industry’s Jiangsu yard.
