Energy Aspects has pushed back its Qatari LNG ramp-up forecast by a further two weeks, now expecting a partial recovery from mid-August. The last cargo from anywhere else was the LNG Borno out of Bonny Island, which discharged at Al Zour on 31 October 2025. Nothing has berthed at the terminal since 15 July.
The last LNG carrier, still holding the cargo it was carrying when March's closure of the Strait of Hormuz trapped it in the Persian Gulf, is preparing to leave the region, our data shows. Anew Climate and Seaspan Energy have completed their first ship-to-ship bio-LNG loading at the Port of Long Beach, California. The renewable natural gas used, sourced from Morrow Energy, has a certified carbon intensity of just 7.74 g CO₂e/MJ under the ISCC framework. The successful operation is a step towards scaling bio-LNG supply.
