Turkish state gas company BOTAS has agreed to purchase a total of 11 bcm of LNG-equivalent over 10 years from Germany’s state-owned SEFE and Italy’s Eni starting from 2028. Shipments will take place in winter only, sourced the partner’s Atlantic Basin supply portfolios.

South Korean utility GS Energy and the construction firm BS Hanyang have been awarded a 1.1 trillion won ($815 million) project finance loan to develop the Northeast Asia LNG hub terminal in Yeosu. Built at a total cost of 1.4 trillion won, the project involves three LNG storage tanks with the first two slated to start operations by the end of 2027, and the third by the end of 2028.

Prices at the Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF), Europe’s most liquid gas trading hub, have risen due to a growing risk premium related to residual Russian flows or cold-weather events. The TTF Q1-25 contract is already pricing near the top of the coal–gas fuel-switching range in the power sector.

Front-month price at the TTF, Europe’s most liquid gas trading hub, is recalibrating after a bid from Egypt’s EGAS for 20 LNG cargoes for October-December delivery had tightened supply. With the EGAS tender fully awarded – at a premium to the TTF – the market is now less tense and October gas futures were last seen trading below $11.26/MMBtu.
