The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) said its Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement entered into force at the start of January, creating the world’s largest free trade area in all products, including LNG and hydrocarbons fuels.

LNG demand was firm worldwide on the week in terms of liftings as prices edged higher for the season for spot shipments to North Asia and European values increased while oil market concerns centred on various issues, including the competence of the current US Administration and its economic policies.
