EQT Corp., one of the leading US natural gas producers and leader of the “Unleash US LNG” advocacy campaign, has formed a strategic alliance with Context Labs to advance the commercialization of verified low-carbon intensity natural gas products and carbon credits.

Exports from global liquefied natural gas plants fell to their lowest of the peak winter season with 91 weekly cargo liftings reported as prices remained robust for February North Asian spot shipments amid the continued oil market recovery.

Global cargo liftings of liquefied natural gas declined after four weeks of increases, but North Asia spot LNG prices broke through the $10.00 per million British thermal units level and North Sea Brent crude cleared $51 a barrel amid concerns about future US energy policies, reflected in higher Gulf Coast LNG futures prices.

LNG cargo liftings increased worldwide for a fourth straight week and North Asia spot LNG prices were firm with January at $7.500 per million British thermal units as US LNG exports broke a monthly record and the North Sea Brent crude oil price hit its highest level since March.

Around 104 LNG shipments were being lifted this week versus 102 last week at global liquefaction plants as the US saw 16 cargoes departing from its facilities and the North Asia spot LNG price moved closer to the $7.00 mark for December shipments.
