Australian LNG plant operator Woodside Petroleum said the Greater Enfield offshore venture underpinned a solid result in a quarter in which significant progress was achieved on the Perth-based company’s growth projects.

Australian LNG producer Woodside is advancing with its boosted seven-Train integrated LNG and gas hub in Western Australia and with overseas projects, including its offshore Myanmar gas venture to supply Rangoon and Thailand.

Woodside Petroleum Chief Executive Peter Coleman told the LNG2019 conference in Shanghai that international energy majors needed to do more to demonstrate as China has already done that a lower-carbon world needs LNG.
