JERA strengthens stake in Australia’s Wheatstone LNG
JERA has acquired the entire stake held by Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security in Pan Pacific Energy (JOGMEC), the company through which JERA holds its interests in Wheatstone LNG project. The transaction raises JERA’s ownership in the Australian LNG export terminal to 50.1%, and strengthens its position in one of its key long-term LNG supply sources.
