April 6 (LNGJ) - The European Union member, the Republic of Slovakia, is to have its own small-scale LNG terminal to hold bunkering fuel to supply a growing number of LNG-powered vessels and barges using the Port of Bratislava on the Danube. The Slovak Environment Ministry said it had approved the project that will cost around €40 million ($44M) and will be under the authority of the state-owned company Verejné Přístavy.
