The Fluxys Belgium Group, the operator of the Zeebrugge LNG terminal and the Belgian gas grid, increased turnover and net profits as the company explained how the invasion of Ukraine by Russia had “dramatically changed the dynamics of the gas markets and the direction of gas flows” in Europe.

Fluxys Belgium said first-half net profits increased in a market little affected by the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic as the Zeebrugge LNG import terminal experienced record traffic and there was keen interest for additional send-out capacity.
