Empire Petroleum Corp. of Oklahoma has completed the acquisition of 700 natural gas, oil and injector wells from ExxonMobil Corp. located in 40,000 net acres of legacy leaseholds in the US Permian Basin of New Mexico in the latest of a 2020-2021 wave of mergers and acquisitions in the energy sector, including LNG.
Infraestructura Energética Nova (IEnova), the Sempra Energy subsidiary in Mexico with plans for LNG production and whose assets include stakes in four major Mexican natural gas pipelines, has successfully completed an international offering to raise US$800 million, underpinning confidence in the North American gas sector.
