May 21 (LNGJ) - UK LNG deliveries are slowly gathering pace with a cargo scheduled this week at the Dragon LNG import terminal at the Port of Milford Haven as prices increase. The UK National Balancing Point market price was last at the equivalent of $9.730 per million British thermal units.

   The vessel “Hellas Athina” with 173,400 cubic metre of capacity is scheduled to discharge a shipment at the Dragon facility on May 25. The cargo was lifted on May 12 from the Freeport export plant on the Gulf Coast of Texas.

European natural gas prices and US Gulf Coast last day futures for free-on-board cargoes from Louisiana and Texas increased for a second day after the Iranian drone and missile attacks on Israel brought more uncertainty and volatility into oil and gas markets.

May 30 (LNGJ) - The Netherlands and the UK are scheduled to receive LNG deliveries over the next couple of days as natural gas benchmark prices continue to tumble. The Dutch Title Transfer Facility price was last at the equivalent of $7.850 per million British thermal units while the UK National Balancing Point price was quoted at $6.835 per MMBtu.

   The “Flex Constellation” with 173,400 cubic metres capacity is due to discharge a shipment on May 31 at the Dutch Eemshaven floating terminal. The cargo was lifted on May 18 from the Corpus Christi export plant in Texas, according to shipping data. The 216,200 cubic metres capacity Qatari Q-Flex vessel “Al Gharrafa” is scheduled to berth with a cargo on June 2 at the UK Dragon terminal at the port of Milford Haven. The volumes were lifted at Ras Laffan on May 14.

North Asian spot cargo prices increased 4.4 percent on the week while the Dutch Title Transfer Facility benchmark price jumped by more than twice as much as leading European Union LNG nations made withdrawals from gas storage as temperatures dropped below zero in Germany and elsewhere.

The European Union benchmark Dutch Title Transfer Facility price tumbled by 24 percent in the past week from previous record levels while remaining above $70 per million British thermal units amid prospects of very tight markets and commodity shortages heading towards the winter season.

July 5 (LNGJ) - The fourth Qatari LNG cargo of July was heading for the UK as the natural gas price on the National Balancing Point hit its highest level for over three months, rising to the equivalent of $34.20 per million British thermal units on short-term Norwegian pipeline gas supply concerns because of a strike at offshore fields.

   The 206,960 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex carrier “Al Aamriya” is scheduled to discharge a shipment on July 12 at the UK South Hook terminal at Milford Haven after lifting the cargo on June 17 from the Ras Laffan plant in the Arabian Gulf, according to shipping data.

June 22 (LNGJ) - The 164,000 cubic metres capacity carrier, the “Maran Gas Posidonia”, is scheduled to discharge a US LNG cargo on June 26 at the UK South Hook importer terminal at Milford Haven, according to shipping data. The cargo was lifted on June 9 from Sempra’s Cameron LNG plant in Louisiana.

   The shipment was headed for the UK as the National Balancing Point market price for natural gas was at the equivalent of $25.30 per million British thermal units, about $13.00 per MMBtu less than the European Union benchmark Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF) price.

Asian and European natural gas and LNG cargo market prices remain strong as liftings from global export plants declined slightly this week which is a year after the tremors began that led to the price explosion on perceived future natural gas shortages that proved correct.

Liquefied natural gas spot cargo prices for China, Japan and South Korea remained high in the $24-$25 per million British thermal units band along with European wholesale natural gas prices on supply concerns in the European Union and the UK that preceded the current Russia-Ukraine tensions.

Liquefied natural gas prices increased in Europe as spot values for North Asia eased slightly while cargo liftings began to decline at Atlantic and Pacific Basin export plants and confusion reigned in oil markets where signals were conflicting.
