Uniper, the German utility that was saved from bankruptcy by Germany’s Federal Government after the halting of Russian pipeline gas supplies, has imported its first US LNG cargo to the floating import facility at the North Sea port of Wilhelmshaven.
Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) Ltd, the Greek-owned shipping line with over 70 vessels in operation or ordered including LNG vessels and various classes of oil tankers from Aframax to Panamax and Very Large Crude Carriers, has given an overview of the market since the start of the Russian conflict in Ukraine.
Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN), the Greek shipping company with a small LNG fleet of three vessels, has ordered four LNG-powered Aframaz tankers from a South Korean shipyard as first-half earnings resulted in a loss.
Sept 12 (LNGJ) - French LNG storage tanks technology company Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) said it received two separate orders from the South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries on behalf of two Greek shipping lines, Tsakos Energy Navigation and Capital Gas Carriers.
Both vessels will have storage capacity of 174,000 cubic metres. “GTT will design the tanks of the vessels, which will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system,” said the Paris-based company. “The delivery of the ships is planned during the fourth quarter of 2021,” added GTT.
March 18 (LNGJ) - Tsakos Energy Navigation, the Greek shipping company, has agreed charters for its two LNG carriers. Tsakos said that it signed deals for the “Neo Energy” and the “Maria Energy” for an aggregate period of 36 months. The revenues are expected to be in the region of $60 million. “With two vessels fixed on accretive medium-term charters, the company is examining further expansion in the sector,” said Chief Operating Office George Saroglou. The company’s diversified energy fleet currently consists of 48 vessels trading in crude, 15 in products, three are shuttle tankers and two are LNG carriers.
