UK energy company and utility Centrica has teamed up with Japanese utility Tokyo Gas to sign a preliminary deal to purchase LNG volumes from the onshore Mozambique export project in southeast Africa being developed by Anadarko Petroleum of the US and joint venture partners.

Jera LNG trade debut

Sept 27 (LNGJ) - Japanese company Jera Co Inc., a joint venture between Tokyo Electric Power and Chubu Electric who have annual LNG purchases amounting to 40 million tonnes, has made its trading debut by agreeing to deliver its first cargo outside of Japan. According to traders, Jera has agreed to sell on supplies of Indonesian LNG to the South Korean Kwangyang import terminal, operated by steelmaker Posco, with a delivery date some time in December.
